Biomax Vitamin B Complex: Each capsule contains: Pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) 100 mg Thiamine (vitamin B1) 50 mg Nicotinamide (vitamin B3) 50 mg Pyridoxine (vitamin B6) 50 mg Inositol 50 mg Riboflavin (vitamin B2) 37,5 mg Biotin (vitamin H) 250 µg Folic acid as methyltetrahydrofolate (Quatrefolic®) 200 µg Vitamin B12 50 µg Bio-Beberberine Advanced: Berberine HCL 500 mg [obtained from Berberis aristata DC. (tree turmeric) root extract]; Origine 8® Camellia sinensis (L.) Kuntze (green tea) 125 mg (leaves; 75 mg green tea 4:1 extract standardised to contain 32 mg EGCG and providing 300 mg of dried herb equivalent and with 50 mg phosphatidylcholine complex from the liposomal bilayer); Chromium polynicotinate 208 µg equivalent to elemental chromium 25 µg.CONTAINS CAFFEINE: Contains 5,5 mg caffeine per capsule.

Warnings

Bio-Curcumin: Contraindications: Hypersensitivity (allergy) to turmeric, curcumin, or any of the ingredients. If any of the following applies to you, please discuss the use of BIO-CURCUMIN with your doctor, pharmacist, or other healthcare provider before you start taking it: -You have been diagnosed with gall bladder disease, obstruction of your bile ducts and/or gallstones, because BIO-CURCUMIN may cause contractions of your gallbladder or bile ducts. Should your healthcare provider recommend the use of BIO-CURCUMIN, stop taking it if you experience pain over the liver area (that may radiate to your right shoulder) or experience stomach pain with nausea. Report these symptoms to your doctor. -You have a bleeding disorder, or you are taking blood thinning or antiplatelet medication, since BIO-CURCUMIN may interfere with the ability of your platelets to form blood clots (see Other medicines and BIO-CURCUMIN). You should stop taking BIO-CURCUMIN if you develop bruises, nose bleeds, or bleeding from the gums and report such symptoms to your doctor. -You have diabetes or you are taking medicines to lower your blood sugar levels, as BIO-CURCUMIN may have a blood sugar-lowering effect (see Other medicines and BIO-CURCUMIN). You should regularly monitor your blood sugar levels, especially when you start or stop taking BIO-CURCUMIN. -You have a stomach ulcer or excess stomach acid because BIO-CURCUMIN may cause reflux of stomach acid with heartburn and indigestion (see Possible side effects). To prevent this from happening, ensure that you always take BIO-CURCUMIN with or immediately after meals (see How to take BIO-CURCUMIN). -You are scheduled for a surgical operation. You need to stop taking BIO-CURCUMIN two weeks before surgery, because BIO-CURCUMIN may cause thinning of the blood or lower your blood glucose levels. -You are trying to conceive. Until more is known, it is advised that you use BIO- CURCUMIN with caution as it may interfere with certain sperm characteristics. A varied diet is the most effective and safe way to achieve good nutrition, health, body composition as well as mental and physical performance. Always tell your healthcare provider if you are taking any other medicine. (This includes all complementary or traditional medicines.) Before taking BIO-CURCUMIN, please discuss the use of the following medicines or substances with your doctor, pharmacist, or other healthcare provider: -Blood thinners or antiplatelet medicines, as BIO-CURCUMIN may also have an antiplatelet effect (see Warnings and precautions). Some examples of such medicines include aspirin, clopidogrel, enoxaparin, heparin, and ticlopidine. If you are taking warfarin, you will have to check your INR (International Normalised Ratio) regularly, but especially at the beginning or end of supplementation with BIO-CURCUMIN. Examples of herbal medicines and supplements that may have a blood thinning effect and that you need to be careful with include angelica, clove, danshen, garlic, ginger, ginkgo, Panax ginseng, and red clover, amongst others. -Medicines to treat diabetes, because taking BIO-CURCUMIN in combination with such medicines may further lower your blood sugar (see Warnings and precautions). Some examples of such medicines include glimepiride, pioglitazone, insulin, and glipizide, amongst others. Examples of herbal medicines and supplements that may lower blood glucose levels include, but are not limited to, devil’s claw, fenugreek, garlic, guar gum, horse chestnut, Panax ginseng, psyllium, and Siberian ginseng. -Chemotherapy for cancer so that your response to treatment can be carefully monitored. -Sulfasalazine for inflammatory bowel disease or rheumatoid arthritis, since you will require careful monitoring for an increase in its side effects. Please refer to sulfasalazine’s patient leaflet for more information about its possible adverse reactions. Biomax Vitamin B Complex: Do NOT take BIOMAX ACTIVATED VIT B CO -If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the B-vitamins, cobalt, or any of the other ingredients in the formulation (see What BIOMAX ACTIVATED VIT B CO contains). -If you have an active stomach ulcer. Warnings and precautions If any of the following applies to you, please take special care with the use of BIOMAX ACTIVATED VIT B CO: -You have been diagnosed with heart disease, or have a stent in your coronary arteries, or you are known with unstable angina (heart cramp). Please discuss the use of BIOMAX ACTIVATED VITAMIN B CO with your cardiologist or treating doctor. If your doctor recommends the use of BIOMAX ACTIVATED VITAMIN B CO, you should not exceed the recommended maximum dose of 1 capsule daily. -You have liver disease, as high doses of the niacin in BIOMAX ACTIVATED VITAMIN B CO may worsen pre-existing liver disease. Do not exceed the recommended maximum dose of 1 capsule daily. -You have cancer or previously had cancer – you must strictly adhere to the maximum daily dosage of one capsule. High doses of certain of the vitamins in BIOMAX ACTIVATED VIT B CO may stimulate cell growth. -You suffer from allergies. If you feel that your symptoms are getting worse after starting supplementation with BIOMAX ACTIVATED VIT B CO, speak to your doctor or pharmacist. -You have kidney disease – you may require a different dosage. -You previously had a stomach or peptic ulcer – you should strictly adhere to the recommended daily dosage of 1 capsule. Also ensure that you take BIOMAX ACTIVATED VIT B CO with or after meals (see How to take BIOMAX ACTIVATED VIT B CO). -You have gallbladder disease. If you experience stomach pain, pain in the right shoulder, nausea or vomiting, stop taking BIOMAX ACTIVATED VIT B CO and inform your doctor. -You have low blood pressure, or you are taking medicines to lower your blood pressure. Some of the vitamins in BIOMAX ACTIVATED VIT B CO may also lower blood pressure and you need to carefully monitor your blood pressure, especially when supplementation with BIOMAX ACTIVATED VIT B CO is started or stopped. -You have been diagnosed with diabetes. You must monitor your blood glucose levels regularly (at least once per day) when supplementation with BIOMAX ACTIVATED VITAMIN B CO are initiated or discontinued. -You are known with gout – you should not exceed the recommended maximum daily dose of 1 capsule, as niacin in high doses may cause high blood levels of uric acid and precipitate a gout attack. -You are scheduled to undergo surgery. You need to stop taking BIOMAX ACTIVATED VIT B CO at least 2 weeks prior to an elective surgical procedure. -You have an underactive thyroid gland, as you may have to go for blood tests when supplementation with BIOMAX ACTIVATED VITAMIN B CO is initiated or discontinued. -You are on haemodialysis. Please discuss the use of BIOMAX ACTIVATED VIT B CO with your treating doctor. -You develop a skin rash after starting supplementation with BIOMAX ACTIVATED VIT B CO. Please report to your doctor as soon as possible. A varied diet is the most effective and safe way to achieve good nutrition, health, body composition as well as mental and physical performance. Other medicines and BIOMAX ACTIVATED VIT B CO Always tell your healthcare provider if you are taking any other medicine. (This includes all complementary or traditional medicines.) Before taking BIOMAX ACTIVATED VIT B CO, please discuss the use of the following medicines or substances with your doctor, pharmacist, or other healthcare provider: -Capecitabine, 5-fluorouracil, or methotrexate for the treatment of cancer. -Phenytoin, phenobarbital, or primidone for the treatment of epilepsy. -Pyrimethamine, an antibiotic, for the treatment of certain parasitic infections. -Warfarin or other blooding thinning medicines, including antiplatelet medicines (please see Warnings and precautions), or herbs and supplements with blood-thinning properties. You will need to have your International Normalised Ratio (INR) regularly checked. If you develop easy bruising, bleeding from the gums or pinpoint red spots on your skin, you must report these to your doctor without delay. -Antihypertensive medicines, including herbs and supplements with blood pressure-lowering effects – you must report to your doctor if you develop dizziness, tiredness or feel lightheaded after standing up (see Warnings and precautions). -Antidiabetic medicines – you need to monitor your blood sugar levels at least once per day when supplementation with BIOMAX ACTIVATED VIT B CO is initiated or discontinued (please see Warnings and precautions). -Amiodarone for abnormal heart rhythms – if you develop a skin rash on sun-exposed areas, you should stop taking BIOMAX ACTIVATED VIT B CO and inform your doctor. -Bile acid sequestrants for high cholesterol levels. You will need to separate the doses of BIOMAX ACTIVATED VIT B CO and bile acid sequestrants with at least 4 hours. -Thyroid hormones (please see Warnings and precautions) – you may have to go for regular blood tests to monitory your thyroid function. -Herbs or supplements that may potentially damage your liver – you need to strictly adhere to the recommended maximum daily dose of BIOMAX ACTIVATED VIT B CO and should not combine it with other herbs and supplements containing the B-complex of vitamins. The ingredients in BIOMAX ACTIVATED VITAMIN B CO may interfere with the results of several blood and urine tests. It may be necessary to separate the doses of BIOMAX ACTIVATED VIT B CO and these tests with between 8 and 72 hours. Please inform your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse that you are taking BIOMAX ACTIVATED VIT B CO should you be scheduled for any such tests. You should avoid using BIOMAX ACTIVATED VIT B CO while you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Bio-Berberine Advanced: Do NOT take BIO-BERBERINE ADVANCED -If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to berberine, tree turmeric, goldenseal, goldthread, Oregan grape, European barberry, phellodendron, green tea, chromium, caffeine, leather, or any of the other components of the formulation (see What BIO-BERBERINE ADVANCED contains). -If you are receiving therapy with ciclosporin (see Other medicines and BIO-BERBERINE ADVANCED). -If you are pregnant or breastfeeding (see Pregnancy and breastfeeding). Warnings and precautions If any of the following applies to you, please discuss the use of BIO-BERBERINE ADVANCED with your doctor, pharmacist, or other healthcare professional before you start taking it: -You have been diagnosed with liver disease. There have been reports that green tea extract (estimated incidence from 2006 to 2016 appears to be 1 out of 2,7 million users) and chromium polynicotinate, such as contained in BIO-BERBERINE ADVANCED, may cause liver damage. You should avoid using BIO-BERBERINE ADVANCED. -You are taking any other medicines (such as lithium) including chronic, complementary, or traditional medicines (see Other medicines and BIO-BERBERINE ADVANCED). -You have high blood pressure, glaucoma, and/or detrusor instability (overactive bladder syndrome) since caffeine may exacerbate these conditions. -Use beyond 12 weeks (see How to use BIO-BERBERINE ADVANCED). -In case of an iron deficiency. -You have an anxiety disorder since caffeine may aggravate anxiety disorders – use BIO-BERBERINE ADVANCED with caution. -You have been diagnosed with an abnormal heart rhythm. You must not exceed the maximum recommended daily dosage of 3 capsules (see How to take BIO-BERBERINE ADVANCED). -You have diabetes or you are taking any medicines to lower your blood sugar levels. You will need to monitor your blood sugar levels carefully (at least daily), especially when treatment with BIO-BERBERINE ADVANCED is initiated or stopped, since it may further reduce blood sugar levels (please see Other medicines and BIO-BERBERINE ADVANCED). -You have a bleeding disorder or take antiplatelet medicines or blood thinning medicines (anticoagulants). BIO-BERBERINE ADVANCED may also have a blood thinning effect by decreasing the clotting ability of your blood platelets (please see Other medicines and BIO-BERBERINE ADVANCED). If your healthcare provider recommends the use of BIO-BERBERINE ADVANCED, you must report to your doctor if you develop easy bruising, bleeding from the gums or nose bleeds while using it. -You are scheduled to undergo surgery. You must stop taking BIO-BERBERINE ADVANCED two weeks prior to surgery because of its possible blood thinning and blood glucose-lowering effects. If you develop yellow discolouration of your skin combined with dark urine, sweating, and stomach pain while taking BIO-BERBERINE ADVANCED, please report to your doctor immediately (see Possible side effects). Consumption with other medicines (e.g., bitter orange extract, synephrine, octopamine, ephedra, ephedrine) which increase blood pressure is not recommended (see Other medicines and BIO-BERBERINE ADVANCED). Use of caffeine may result in sleep deprivation. Consumption with other caffeine-containing products or foods (e.g., medications, coffee, tea, colas, cocoa, guarana, maté) is not recommended (see Other medicines and BIO-BERBERINE ADVANCED). Children BIO-BERBERINE ADVANCED should not be given to children younger than 12 years of age as safety and efficacy have not been established in this age group.

Directions

Bio-Curcumin: Adults and children 12 years and older For the first 3 days, take 1 capsule three times per day with food. Thereafter, take 1 to 3 capsules daily with food depending on individual needs and responses to supplementation. Biomax Vitamin B Complex: Adults and children 12 years and older Take 1 capsule daily with or after food. Bio-Berberine Advanced: Adults and children 12 years and olderThe daily dose is 1 capsule 2 to 3 times daily shortly before or with meals with a glass of water.
