Warnings
Avoid prolonged usage or high doses of this herb Do not combine this herb with high blood pressure or heart problems due to the sodium/potassium balance. Do not use this herb where there is kidney insufficiency/oedema or osteoporosis due to sodium/potassium balance. Avoid use of this herb during pregnancy Do not use this herb with liver cirrhosis or chronic hepatitis . Avoid use of this herb with overweight persons, due to the higher risk of hypertension, diabetic and cardiovascular problems. Avoid use of this herb with diabetics, since insulin treated diabetics appear to be pre-disposed to hypokalemia and sodium retention. Do not combine this herb with cardiac glycosides, Do not combine this herb with the use of laxative medication, due to the increased loss of potassium. Similarly do not combine this herb with diuretics, which also increase the loss of sodium. Do not combine this herb with corticoid treatment Do not combine this herb with Digoxin, as liquorice lowers potassium levels thereby increasing the toxicity of Digoxin.
Directions
1. For Adults and children over 12 years: Take 20 drops.
2. For Children 6 to 12 years: Take 15 drops.
3. For Children 3 months to 3 years: Take 2 drops for each year of age (e.g., a 2-year-old would take 4 drops).
4. For Babies under 3 months: Take 1-2 drops.
