My Journey to Wellness - Marna Grobler

By: Wellness Warehouse

You've created a strong presence around midlife awareness. What does it feel like for you to be at this age and stage?

For me, midlife has been less about growing older and more about growing into myself. There is a freedom that comes with this stage of life. I no longer feel the need to seek validation or fit into anyone else's expectations.

At 50-plus, I feel stronger emotionally, mentally, and physically than ever before. Midlife has taught me that confidence comes from accepting yourself, embracing your story, and showing up authentically. I see this as a season of possibility rather than decline.

What does it mean to be a Midlife Mentor?

Being a Midlife Mentor means helping women realise that their best years are not behind them. I encourage women to approach ageing with curiosity, courage, and optimism.

Many women arrive in midlife feeling uncertain or disconnected from themselves. I love helping them rediscover their confidence, purpose, and sense of adventure. I am also passionate about helping younger women feel informed and empowered about the journey ahead.

What challenges do women typically face in midlife?

Many women find themselves questioning who they are as children become independent, careers evolve, and relationships change. Others struggle with confidence, changing health, and the belief that opportunities have passed them by.

My advice is to focus on what is still possible rather than what has been lost. Midlife is not an ending; it is an opportunity for a new beginning.

Tell us about being an endurance athlete at this age.

Being active in my fifties has taught me that consistency is more important than intensity. As a distance runner, triathlete, and Hyrox participant, I have become far more intentional about recovery, nutrition, strength training, hydration, and sleep.

I have also learned to listen to my body and recognise when it needs rest. Staying strong at this age is about supporting your body so it can continue doing the things you love.

Does the world of modelling continue to embrace you at this phase of life?

Absolutely. I think the industry is changing, with a growing appreciation for authenticity and confidence.

Modelling at this stage of life is less about perfection and more about celebrating individuality. I am proud to represent women over fifty and challenge the idea that ageing means becoming invisible.

What do you hope to convey through your talk show, Middeljare Mojo met Marna?

The heart of the show is to change the conversation around ageing. Through honest conversations, we explore health, relationships, personal growth, fitness, beauty, and reinvention.

Most importantly, I want viewers to feel inspired to believe that their best chapter may still be ahead of them.

How do you feel about partnering with Wellness Warehouse and being one of the models for this edition?

It is both an honour and a privilege. Wellness Warehouse's commitment to helping people live healthier, more intentional lives aligns closely with my own values.

Being selected as a model reflects an important message: wellness, vitality, and confidence do not have an expiry date.

What are some of your go-to wellness products?

I gravitate towards products that support recovery, energy, and overall wellbeing. My favourites include collagen supplements, magnesium, hydration and electrolyte support, and quality skincare.

For me, wellness is not about quick fixes; it is about sustainable habits that support long-term health and vitality.

How do you intentionally Live Life Well every day?

Living well starts with gratitude and intention. I make time for exercise, spend time in nature, nourish my body with good food, and prioritise the people and experiences that bring me joy.

Most importantly, I stay curious about life. Whether it is training for a race, travelling, or starting a new project, I believe staying engaged is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves.

Ageing well is not about adding years to your life – it is about adding life to your years.
