NeoGenesis Bio-Enhanced® R-ALA provides 250 mg of active R-alpha-lipoic acid (R-ALA) in the form of stabilised sodium R-lipoate.
R-ALA is the naturally occurring, biologically active form of alpha-lipoic acid and functions as an important mitochondrial cofactor, participating in enzyme systems involved in cellular energy production. Unlike conventional alpha-lipoic acid products that typically contain a mixture of R- and S-isomers, this formula specifically provides the biologically relevant R-form.
The sodium R-lipoate form is designed to improve the solubility, stability, absorption and biological retention of R-ALA. In addition to its role in mitochondrial energy metabolism, R-ALA provides antioxidant activity and helps support healthy glucose metabolism and cellular protection against oxidative stress.
