Wild Yam has a long history of traditional use in Western herbal medicine, particularly in formulations developed for women’s health and wellbeing. Diosgenin is a naturally occurring steroidal sapogenin found in Wild Yam and is commonly used as a marker for standardised Wild Yam extracts.
The concentrated extract provides a consistent, high-strength botanical preparation while substantially reducing the amount of inactive plant fibre required per dose.
